With the new MacBook, technology and elegance go hand in hand. The incredibly slim and lightweight metallic body is a pleasure to carry around the city and a pleasure to look at. Powerful yet efficient 7th gen. Intel Core m3 processor and innovative battery design ensure you can work or play all day long. The compact 12 inch Retina screen uses IPS technology to dazzle you with millions of pixels indiscernible by eye, and amazing viewing angles as well.
7th gen. efficiency: Whatever the task, Intel Core m3 dual core processor from Kaby Lake family is up to it, ready to switch from 1.2 GHz base mode to 3 GHz turbo mode for demanding processes. Thanks to low-power design, the MacBook uses silent, dust-free fanless cooling in an ultra slim package. The processor is supported by 8 GB onboard RAM and integrated Intel HD Graphics 615.
Retina display: The incredibly slim 12-inch display uses edge-to-edge glass and IPS panel for amazing colours and viewing angles. With redesigned LED backlighting and ultra fine Retina technology, there are over three million pixels squeezed into the compact space for dazzling detail and lifelike colors.
Storage: The 256 GB PCIe SSD drive takes responsiveness to the next level, cutting down on loading times and making file transfer lightning fast.
Operating system: The innovative macOS Sierra focuses on making your experience intuitive and seamless. With Siri virtual assistant, you can simply ask your MacBook questions without having to type them in. The operating system delivers close integration between all your Apple devices, provides a safe and easy method of payment with Apple Pay and gives you even easier access to all your important data over iCloud.
Battery: The layered battery architecture allows for even higher capacity in a smaller package. You can browse the web for up to 10 hours, or play video from iTunes for up to 12 hours.
Keyboard: To make the keyboard slimmer yet responsive, the keys use reworked butterfly mechanism that reduces the vertical space but improves precision and tactile response. The keys have individual LED backlighting to ensure perfect visibility day and night, with almost zero light bleed around the edges.
Force Touch: The completely redesigned trackpad uses haptic sensors and force feedback to provide precise response no matter where you click. You can click deeper for a variety of context-specific actions, e.g. bringing up help, pressure-sensitive drawing, searching in a dictionary or fast-forwarding video.
Chassis: The metallic chassis was crafted for excellent portability and great looks anywhere, anytime. At just 0.9 kg and 1.31 cm slim, the new MacBook fits into your bag without taking up too much space or being a burden.
USB type C: The USB type C port is reversible so you can plug in the cable upside down anytime. It supports quick data transfer with USB 3.1 Gen 1, lets you hook up external display with native DisplayPort support and also lets you charge the MacBook fast. You can use various adapters (sold separately) for connection to Ethernet port, or HDMI or VGA display output.
